INTRODUCING OUR U12 AAA HEAD COACH FOR THE 2026-2027 SEASON
JASON PARK
Getting to know Coach Jason:
What inspired you to become a hockey coach?
My journey as a hockey coach is driven by my deep love for the game and my desire to teach others. For me, hockey is more than just a sport; it’s something I live and breathe. Becoming a coach was a way to share that enthusiasm and guide young players in developing not only their skills but also a true love for the game. What I find most rewarding is watching players improve, both technically and mentally, and helping them reach new heights in their journey. Seeing their growth and knowing I played a part in it is one of the most rewarding experiences I could ask for.
How do you foster team culture?
Building a strong team culture is one of my top priorities as a coach. I believe that a positive and supportive environment is key to both individual and team success. I strive to create a culture where trust, respect, and accountability are at the core of everything we do. By encouraging open communication, celebrating each player’s strengths, and fostering a sense of unity, I help my players understand that success comes from working together, not just as individuals. I want every player to feel valued, motivated, and connected to their teammates—creating an environment where everyone is invested in each other's growth both on and off the ice.

What does it feel like to be coached by me?
Being coached by me means being part of something bigger than just a hockey team. I’m incredibly passionate about the game, and I invest everything I have into my players' growth. My goal is to push each player as far as they can go, both on the ice and off. I hold my players accountable—not just for their performance, but for their actions, both on and off the rink. I believe in helping them become not just better athletes, but better people. I want them to understand that success is earned through hard work, dedication, and perseverance. If they give their best, I promise it will pay off, and I’ll be there with them every step of the way.

What do you want your players to learn or take away from this season?
This season, I want my players to walk away with a few key lessons: the importance of hard work, the value of accountability, and the understanding that growth comes from pushing themselves beyond their limits. I want them to learn that success isn’t just about winning games; it’s about giving their best effort every time they step on the ice and carrying that mindset into their everyday lives. I hope they take away the importance of teamwork, trust, and supporting one another, both as players and as individuals. Ultimately, I want them to be proud of the work they put in, the relationships they built, and the progress they made, knowing that every step forward is a victory in itself.

Away from the rink you will most likely find me...
Away from the rink, I'll be at the rink watching or spending time with my wife and two boys. Whether we're at home enjoying family time or out supporting my kids, I cherish those moments. Family is everything to me, and I try to make the most of every opportunity to be present with them.

Anything else you want people to know about you?
I give my all—every practice, every game, every moment. I won’t stop pushing, and I will never give up on my players. They can always count on me to put in 100% effort, no matter what challenges we face.
