The Hawks were looking to avenge their previous 9-0 Loss and start the playoffs on the right foot.  Even though the result was a loss they battled the Bulldogs evenly throughout the match.  A 1-0 deficit after 2 kept the hawks confident going into the 3rd.  A soft body checking call made on Blake Davidson put the Bulldogs on the power play and they made good going up by a pair.  After that the hawks pressed hard and even pulled the goalie with 2 minutes remaining, forcing the play in the Burlington end.  There persistence finally paid off as Blake Davidson buried home a nice effort by Owen Rivard (second assist by Liam Cain) with 1 second remaining.  The Hawks received stand out efforts by their Defence that includes Captain Noah Guerin, Ryan Jamieson, Brock Fraser, Rylan Jonas, and Liam Cain.
Next up for the Hawks is a visit to Hamilton next Saturday vs the Cyclones.
