Minor Bantam MD, 2017-2018, BB (Cambridge Minor Hockey)

A fantastic effort by our Hawks.  Four coaches, at one point 7 forwards, 4 Dee, 2 goalies, and 2 Hawks wings in casts.  5 Wins, 2 shout outs, 24 goals for, and a disappointment for the boys in the end.  Why?? Because this team comes to win every time. The parents and coaches are super proud of their effort, energy and commitment to the team for the entire weekend.  GREAT JOB DONE BOYS!

For our player parent meeting today at Hespeler Arena Optimist Room (1:00) please bring your name bars from last year.  We need to get these into source for sports asap to sew onto our new uniforms.  Returning MD players can have their numbers from last year if they want.  If changing numbers then they go back into the pool with the new players skating with us this year.  New players to the team this year should report to Jonathon with 3 choices for numbers upon arrival.  We are looking forward to a great season this year.  

We are now finished the exhausting (players and parents) process of tryouts.  I want to thank everyone that showed their commitment to our team.  Especially those who are released today.  You showed your passion, energy, and abilities.  Be PROUD  of what you have accomplished in just a few short years in hockey. Those released are invited to connect with me if you would like feedback.  Unfortunately I can only take 15 skaters and two goalies. Thanks to all my team helpers: registratrar, on-ice and evaluators. 

All players are requested to attend the game. We have 20 players on our tryout list. We will sit one skater. Game apparel is to be your Hawks training suit with a white golf shirt or dress shirt if possible.  If you don't have a Hawks training suit: white golf/dress shirt black pants all black shoes. No jeans no t-shirts and NO BALL CAPS. Come ready to play. 

Please note that all releases will be completed after our exhibition game on Thursday night vs. Hamilton. With that said there will be a mandatory parent AND player meeting Saturday at 1:00. Hespeler arena Optimist room.  I am hoping to speak very briefly to all parents before the Hamilton game on Thursday.
