To our Members.
Well, it has been a different 8 months since hockey shutdown in March. The disappointment of not being able to complete our 2019/20 season was quickly replaced by the fear of not having a 2020/21 season. I am pleased that we were able to work out ice availability issues and although it was a late and staggered start, we have been able to get our season going. I do want to thank our Executive and Staff for the many hours they have put in over the past few months to ensure our players had the opportunity to get on the ice. On behalf of the Executive we would also like to thank the many Coaches, Conveners and Volunteers who have taken a very difficult set of circumstances and provided a positive environment for our players to develop and have fun.

We, as an Association, have had to make many decisions on the fly because of the uncertainty we found ourselves in this summer, because of limitations the Coronavirus has presented. We decided that in order to have as much experience and continuity in place during these challenging times, board elections have been postponed for 1 year. We believe this decision gave us the best chance to navigate the changes that could present themselves during this season. I believe the success of the first session of hockey has proven this to be the right decision.

With regards to registration and Rep fees, we made a conscious effort to keeps costs down as much as possible.
We acknowledge that the rollout of our House league program and the delays in determining HL fees could have been better, however we did learn from it and feel better prepared moving forward. Although we do not want to overcharge our members to play, we also need to be sure we cover our expenses.

Thank you for your patience during the past few months and we ask you for more as we navigate this ever-changing world we find ourselves in.

Be calm, be safe and enjoy the smiles on our kids' faces.
