Hawks Day in the books
The U16AAA Jr. Redhawks Program had their annual "Hawks Day" on Sunday.
The day began with a chilly 7AM run, directly to an 8AM ice time. The players then hit the books completing 6 hours of classroom time. They were invigorated with Larissa Mills, The Mental Game Academy's talk which is step one for the multi-step series. Strength and Conditioning Coach Jordan Lenko of Next Level Performance Training had the players diving into their nutrition and sleep routines on just what it takes to be an elite athlete.
The players hit the ice for the 2nd session of the day in the afternoon followed by a "team builder" where they successfully completed the task however got wet anyway. In the end, the development over the 10 hour event was a great success and a ton of laughs along the way.
