We’re excited to officially welcome all players and families to the Cambridge Hawks U15BB/B tryout process!
Our coaching staff is looking forward to a competitive, transparent, and positive evaluation period where players will have the opportunity to showcase not only their skills—but also their passion for the game, including strong character, work ethic, and a team-first attitude.
At the U15 level, we aren’t just building a team—we are devoted to building a culture rooted in commitment, respect, and pride in wearing the Hawks jersey.
What We’re Looking For:
We believe in being clear about what matters most to us as a coaching staff. Throughout tryouts, we will be focusing on these three essential qualities:
1. Love for the Game
2. Urgency and Work ethic
3. Being a Great Teammate
In addition, players will be evaluated in key areas such as:
• Technical Skills (skating, puck handling, shooting, passing, off-puck skills)
• Game Awareness and Situational Play
• Compete Level and Confidence
• Communication, Leadership, and Team Presence
• Coachability and Character
Remember: Effort and attitude are just as important as technical skills. Control what you can—bring your best energy, focus, and commitment to growing every time you step on the ice.
We are excited to get started with our Cambridge Hawks U15BB/B tryouts on Monday, May 5th at Cambridge Sports Park!
Here are a few important reminders:
Date: Monday, May 5th, 2025
Ice Time: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Cambridge Sports Park
Please arrive at least 1 hour before ice time to allow for check-in, warm-up, and dressing. Casual dress is acceptable during the tryout process.
Players must be fully ready to hit the ice at 7:00 PM sharp.
Upon arrival, players will receive their tryout jersey, welcome letter, and tryout identification number.
We encourage everyone to bring their best effort, energy, and positive attitude to the rink. Let's make this a memorable and rewarding experience as we begin building a strong team and a strong Hawks culture.
