The Hawks proved that "it's worth the drive to Goderich" In a hard fought series the Atom AAA Hawks bounced back from lopsided losses in Stratford to win both games at home, then traveled to Goderich to upset the 2nd Place Lakers on Home ice. The boys stepped up showing everyone that they have what it takes to win the "big" game. Back to back overtime wins earned the Hawks a spot in the Alliance Semi-Finals where they will take on the 1st Place, Elgin Middlesex Chiefs. Hawks go 6-0!   Jr. Canadiens Cup Champions.....................Hawks sweep the round robin to finish First. The Central Ontario Wolves, Wilkes Barre Knights, Toronto Jr.Canadiens and Markham Majors fell victim to the Hawks solid Team play in the Round Robin. The Hawks took on a determined Markham team in the Semis and won in a tough battle. Central Ontario came out hard in the Finals but were no match for the Hawks who proved to be faster and more determined, moving the puck well and playing great defense. If I didn't score I didn't play well..................................................................Not True!  If I backcheck or make a good defensive play I help my team as much or more than if I scored. There are 17 of us and WE all have different roles every game. In a 2-0 game it's impossible for all of us to score! It is NOT impossible for all of us to work hard and play an important role.  As a TEAM we can accomplish more than we can as individuals. Coach Geoff
