FRAZE Fires Four!!!
Over the last few games we have seen some HAWKS elevate their games and play some lights out hockey during this playoff stretch and today`s game was no different.  Carson Frazer was a beast today firing four goals en route to the HAWKS third win of the post season.

"Fraze was great today" chimed Coach Craig.  "Good things happen when players put pucks at the net and Fraze was a perfect example of that.  He's a big time gamer and today he elevated it to a higher level.  I am extremely proud of him and his line-mates...actually, I am extremely proud of all of our players today."

From the drop of the puck until the final buzzer the HAWKS dominated play.  They put pucks at the net and went hard all game.  Looking at the game from the stands it was quite evident that the HAWKS stuck to that game plan.

"The boys came to play today and they did what we have been asking them to do" was the indication from Coach Neil.  "They got pucks deep, they fore-checked hard, they shot the puck at the net, they went hard looking for rebounds, we kept a third man high, our D closed their gap and helped transition the puck from defence to offence and Hammer Time stopped pucks.  When we do those things we will win."

Coming off a disappointing 2-1 loss in St Catherine's on Saturday the HAWKS had to rebound in a BIG way...and they answered the bell.

"It was a total team effort today" said Coach Dave Brown.  "We talk all week about what we have to do to win and today we had success.  We skated that team into the ground.  We kept moving our feet and when we have all 17 players do that we give ourselves a great chance to win.  That was the difference between yesterday and today.  Yesterday we had 14 shots on net...today we fired 25!  Not only did we fire 25 shots but we went hard for rebounds.  HOPEFULLY the players realize that that is one of the majors differences when we win games vs. when we lose games."

The HAWKS have a big week of practice coming up leading into a HUGE tilt with the Navy Vets from Woodstock next Sunday.  Hopefully they have learned that they can't take any team lightly and under estimate their opponent.  Next Sunday is a MUST WIN game and if the boys work hard in practice all week and come prepared to play the way they did tonight they will be successful.  I can't put my finger on it but I just have a good feeling about these boys and I know once they ALL get that feeling GOOD THINGS WILL HAPPEN!!

HAWKS' Chirps

- Sounds like Rudy had a lovely evening last night

- Well...Spain will never be the same!  They couldn't be happier to see that side show hit the road.

- Nice to see the good team from Ontario making a run at it!

- Thought of the day - other than food does Spain have any thing else worthy of taking pictures of??
