New Year - New Beginnings
Well as 2013 ends and 2014 rolls in we all have the opportunity to look back and reflect.
The 2013 portion of our season wrapped up a few weeks back and despite not posting any wins, we have a lot to build off of. As a coaching staff we now have a much better understanding of each boys capabilities. We're better able to assess what each boy needs to improve their games.
Much of our competition has been of a high quality. Hopefully this will lift our game in the long run.
The back half of our season will see many games condensed into a short time-frame. Including tournament games we will play 10 games in January alone.
Our primary goal now is to take and improve each boys skill sets, and then tie it all together with a stronger commitment to team tactical play. The boys have already shown a strong ability to take our basic defensive schemes and put them into practice.
It goes without saying that over the next few months we hope to see some on ice rewards for all the boys hard work.
No matter what the outcome on the scoreboard... we hope the boys continue to never give up!!!
