Hawks lose a tough one to the Thunder
The Hawks dropped a 3-2 decision Monday night in Halton Hills. The Thunder jumped out early and just survived a spirited Hawks comeback. See game details below.

The Hawks rolled into Halton Hills on a two game winning streak trying to extend it to 3 games but Halton had other ideas.

The Thunder jumped out early 3 minutes in to take the lead outplaying the Hawks for the first period. Adrianna Violi came up huge with several key saves to keep the score 1-0 after one.

It was more of the same in the second as Cambridge paid for sloppiness and Halton capitalized putting 2 past Violi to take a commanding 3-0 lead after two periods.

A tough pep talk between the periods seemed to fire Cambridge up as they came out flying in the third period. Brady Mackey took a Cameron Squirrell pass and fired a shot from the wing top corner and the Hawks were on the board.
They continued to press pinning Halton in the zone for much of the period. They continued firing shots but much credit to the Halton goalie as he was up to the task stopping everything from wrap arounds to breakaways. Cambridge got one back with the goalie pulled in the dying seconds as Alex Quarrie snuck one by the goaltender but they fell just short and came away with a disappointing 3-2 loss.

They didn't give up and showed a lot of grit in the third period which was great to see. The Hawks take their 2-2 record into Saturday where they host another tough opponent in Chedoke.

Keep up the good work Hawks
