Hawks back to Winning Ways
The Hawks rebounded from a loss earlier in the week to beat the Chedoke Express 5-0 Saturday night. See below for all the game details.

The Hawks were ready to rebound from a tough loss and came out ready to play Saturday night. With a solid game plan executed throughout the game, the Hawks, relentless in forechecking and creating opportunites, defeated Chedoke 5-0 keeping an undefeated home record this year.

The Hawks jumped out of the gate scoring 2 goals in the first 3 minutes with Kaidyn Lonergan opening the scoring burying a rebound on an Alexander Quarrie shot. Quickly followed by Quarrie taking a pass from Lonergan and firing it by the keeper for a 2-0 Lead. The Hawks weren't done there as Brady Mackey scored assisted by Jared Main to put the Hawks up 3-0 after one period.

The second period was much the same as Cambridge continued to forecheck hard and maintain proper positioning to create opportunites. Lonergan scored his second of the game from Main and the Hawks lead 4-0 after two.

The third period was an even affair as both teams fired a lot of shots on the goalies keeping them on their heels. Mackey scored his second of the game from Nicholas Silva which rounded out the scoring as the final score was 5-0 to the Hawks.

Calvyn Dragun was called upon a lot in the third and came through with many saves preserving his second shutout of the season.

Overall, the Hawks executed the game plan. The forechecking and positional play was great. A great defensive effort by the d-men on the night.

Keep up the great work Hawks!
