Hello HAWKS
fans
The Novice
Black HAWKS travelled to Waterloo this past Saturday for an afternoon tilt with
the WOLVES.
HAWKS
played a great first period of back and forth hockey as the score was tied 0 -
0 at the end of the frame. Waterloo was able to bang a couple in in the second
and a few more in the third but considering the last outing vs the WOLVES, the
HAWKS were able to walk away with their heads held high in a 7 to 1 loss.
SHEWCHUK was the lone HAWK who scored on a beauty breakaway in the 3rd.
Our HAWKS then travelled to Parkdale arena on Sunday afternoon where they played the HUSKIES of Hamilton. Right from the drop of the puck the HAWKS were skating, passing and shooting and not letting up. However, Hamilton was able to hit the scoreboard first but the HAWKS SHEWCHUK was able to tie the game early in the 3rd. Hamilton quickly replied with a marker of their own making the game 2 to 1. While killing a penalty HAWKS BELBECK was sprung on a breakaway and was able to knot the game up at 2, with minutes left to play. It was quite the exciting finish but MATHESON was able to close the door on any additional HUSKY goals and the game ended at 2 goals apiece. Great game team! Be proud of the hustle!
We have a couple of practices this week which will lead us into the Preston Tourney that starts Friday morning.
Let’s all be at the rink cheering on the team to a TOURNEY win this weekend !!!
