Hawks lose series, but they showed why they made it to the Bristol Championships.  In a year filled with ups and downs, theses Hawks will be remembered for their ability to rise to the challenge.  They played one game all year with a full squad, and played with 10 or less since Christmas!  Those that were in the games, never quit and had more ice time than they could ever imagine!  In fact, many times, you would hear a player tell another player to stay out for another minute!  Injuries, suspensions, flu... nothing kept this team down and it was no surprise that they found a way to win their ...

Hawk win 1st game of the Consolation Championship Round Robin.  With just seven of their regular players and 2 AP call ups, the Hawks dominated the London Oakridge Aeros 4-1.  Both Wilkinson and Younger had strong games as they played 2 games in a row and and came away with wins in both.  Our 3 defencemen were gassed but they battled hard none the less. One "D" is missing his jock, but that's another story.   Next game for the short handed Hawks is Saturday March 5th in London.

Hot goal tending by the Woodstock Navy Vets sunk the Hawks hopes of moving on in the Alliance Championship round.  The Hawks out shot the Vets 48-17 in a lopsided affair that was decided in the fifth period of play while the Hawks were short handed.  With just 9 of their regular players and 2 AP's, the Hawks could not capitalize on many glorious scoring opportunities.  Although disappointed with the result, the boys should all feel very proud of themselves for the way they played with such limited resources. With eight players and whole bunch of heart and grit, the Hawks are taking the Navy Vets to a fifth game!  With a decimated roster, the Hawks proved that anything can happen if they follow the game plan and never quit.  The Hawks jumped to a 4-0 lead and never looked back as they beat the Navy Vets 4-2.  They were running out of gas but hung on to surprise the Vets and force a game 5 on home soil in God's Country.  2:30 pm Sunday at the Preston Aud!  Game On!

Hawks Lose 3-2 to go down two games to none vs the Woodstock Navy Vets.  With 9 skaters going into Woodstock, on the big ice, the Hawks played an incredible game, out shooting the Vets 35-10, but could not put enough past the Woodstock tender who stood on his head. Call ups Talbot and Rae each had strong games and each contributed with assists.  VanDerGeld sniped both Hawk goals.  Do or die back at the Aud Thursday night. Great effort guys!
